It has hosted men's World Cup slalom and giant slalom events in four seasons (1998, 2000, 2003, and 2006) and also the IPC Disabled Alpine World Cup. The resort hosted the 2009 Biathlon World Championships, although the event was marred by lack of snow due to an unseasonable warmth, and criticized for poor spectator attendance. Yongpyong will host the technical alpine skiing events of slalom and giant slalom for the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang. It was also involved in the bids for 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics (missing out to Vancouver and Sochi, respectively). Nearby Jeongseon Alpine Centre is being developed to host the alpine speed events of Downhill, Super-G, and Combined. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Yongpyong Ski Resort」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
